A violent bear entered a village nearby after straying away from the forest and attacked three people, amid lockdown in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place in Kalakkad village of Tirunelveli district on April 27.

The victims were rushed to a hospital following the attack.

According to the reports, the bear entered the village from a nearby forest.

Meanwhile, the bear was eventually captured and released into the wild by forest rangers, who used dart guns to tranquilise the mammal.
