Dozens of people gather in Sangam, India, to join Makar Sankranti, a Hindu festival.

Hindu devotees in traditional dresses take a dip where three rivers confluence - Yamuna, Ganga, and Saraswati. Sangam is considered a sacred place. People bath there to flush away their sins.

A huge crowd of devotees has gathered on the banks of Sangam for Makar Sankranti. Lakhs of devotees are taking a dip in the river here since the early hours of Saturday 14th.

In view of this, the administration has already made complete arrangements. From barricading to security forces have been deployed at the ghats.

Footage shows worshippers in traditional dress lighting ritual lights and blowing them into a river, taking a dip in icy water.

Around many devotees came to Sangam, a place of confluence of the Yamuna, Ganga and Saraswati rivers, to take a dip in the cold water.
