Incredible cake artist tricks followers with hyper-realistic cartoon cake
This talented cake decorator has tricked her fans after creating a hyper-realistic cartoon cake.
Kendra Groves, 31, put her artistic skills to the test by creating a treat that looks like it’s straight out of a comic book.
However, sweet-toothed fans refuse to believe the baker's creation is actually edible.
The award-winning cake decorator and pastry chef from Australia says it can take just 40 minutes to transform a drab cake into an illusion.
“The process is a lot of fun for me,” said Kendra. "Usually this type of cake would take me around 40 minutes to decorate. However this particular one took a few hours to make but that was just because I was filming it for my TikTok page. The reaction has been amazing people have been obsessed with the cartoon cake trend and loved seeing my version of it!".
She added: "It’s been a recent trend I’ve seen around social media and decided to have a crack at it in my own style".
Kendra has been decorating cakes for the last seven years and has even won multiple awards for her inventions.
Her creativity even scored her Cake Decorator of the Year, Australia in 2021.
She often shares videos of cake transformations with her 261,000 followers on TikTok.
Her cartoon-cake creations have gone viral, raking up an impressive 90,000 views.
In one clip, Kendra shows the transformation process where she brings the bland cake to life.
She can be seen delicately icing the cake in vibrant colours before outlining the designs in black icing to create the cartoon illusion.
In another, she performs the heart-breaking task of dissembling the dessert so she can use it again for another idea.
Hungry users rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts.
One user said, “Love that idea.”
”Truley a masterpiece,” wrote someone else.
”Looks amazing,” said a third user.
