Huge 165ft-long lion puppet dances at Chinese New Year celebration in Thailand
A huge 165ft-long lion puppet danced at Chinese New Year celebration in Thailand.
Footage shows the massive gold and red marionette being controlled by at least a dozen men in Ang Thong province on January 21.
The giant puppet was paraded across the plaza and did a dance routine under a cold sparkler machine.
Aside from the giant puppet attraction, revellers could also enjoy shopping and eating on the stalls and booth at the night of the fair.
Onlooker Attiwat said: ‘Some visited a nearby Buddhist temple to pray and pay homage to the Buddha for a prosperous year. It was a happy night and everyone enjoyed at the event.'
The annual festival originates from inhabitants of mainland China.
