A curious toddler with his body stuck in a rickshaw while playing was rescued in Indonesia.

The little boy Andra, 6, was clambering over the customised vehicle when his parents heard him shouting for help outside their home in West Java on January 23.

Andra poked his head and arms on the back of the passenger's seat but could not come out.

Footage shows concerned neighbours lathering liquid soap onto the worried youngster's body so he could slip out.

Onlooker Prima Septiyana said: ‘He was happily playing on the empty rickshaw until he shouted. He was trapped on the handle.'

With the help of neighbours, the young boy was taken out unhurt, although he was frightened by the incident. His parents warned him not to play on the bikes.

Prima added: 'He has learned his lesson. The memory will stay with him forever. It was an ordeal for a young boy.'
