Li chun egg stand 2023.

A man in Melaka, Malaysia made 15 eggs standing on his kitchen floor within 1 hour during Li Chun day.

'I've had doing this for many years and once you know the technique to make it stand by holding it without shaking and find it balance point, if you are lucky, within seconds you could make it stands. But sometimes it could take up to few minutes. So the 15 eggs, some took minutes and some took within 20 seconds to stand, it all based on experience and skills.

The terms ‘Li Chun egg balancing’ or e’gg of Li Chun’ refers to a Chinese folk belief that it is much easier to balance an egg on a smooth surface during Li Chun (the official first day of spring in the Chinese lunar calendar, which usually falls on February 4 or 5), than at any other time of the year.

The Chinese in Malaysia will always doing this every year during Li Chun Day is because we believe that if we could make the egg stand, then in that year we could make our wishes come true and bring good luck.' Said the man.
