Aerial drone footage filmed on Thursday, February 9 shows the devastating earthquake damage and aftermath of the deadly tremors in Adiyaman, Turkey.

These are some of the first aerial shots of the city since Monday's quake.

Over 20,000 people have been killed due to the quakes that rocked the regions of southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria on February 6.

In Adiyaman, footage shows several collapsed buildings in massive mounds of rubble.

Thousands have been spending freezing nights amidst the debris in the streets, huddled around small fires and with little shelter. Electricity and water have been nonexistent in many areas.

Fearful of another earthquake, some people are choosing to stay out in the open, avoiding buildings that appeared intact, and to brave the sub-zero temperatures.
