A plucky pet Pomeranian chased a terrified stallion around a stable yard.

The pooch named Bobby, a tiny but fierce toy dog, was guarding the ranch when he noticed his owner having a great time at the stable in Krabi province, Thailand, on February 21.

Seemingly jealous, he sprinted towards a horse named Dragon that quickly backed away in a pursuit that covered a distance of more than a mile.

Footage shows the fluffy Bobby dashing to the equine before it was spooked and escaped.

The pair reached the ranch's fences before stopping by the dead end in a truce.

Ranch owner Onanong Singchoo said: ‘Bobby is a playful dog. He saw his owner leading the horses out to take care of them so he was jealous.

‘He ran in their direction to chase Dragon away. He did not bite though. They were only playing and chasing.'

The dog and the horse passed by a garage, a pond where the pet fish were being kept, and more buildings inside the ranch.

Confused workers also saw the duo until the horse outran the defiant dog.

Onanong added: ‘Dragon ran faster, he was built for it. But the small dog was so fierce for chasing Dragon away.'
