A spectacular 'cloud waterfall' streamed over mountains in the Philippines.

Footage shows the thick splash-like formation cascading into the cliffs in Benguet province's Mount Pulag on February 18.

The timelapse video showed how the clouds were infused with different shades of pink and blue as the day shifted.

The amazing sight usually happens in the morning just before sunrise but hiker Ronald Dauag said he was delighted to witness it in the afternoon during a cloudy day.

He said: ‘It was my third time hiking that mountain but the weather was always bad.

‘I really want to see the sea of clouds the other hikers rave about. I was so happy seeing the beautiful waterfall in the sky right outside the inn I was staying at.'

Ronald added that he would definitely come back to the country's third-highest mountain.

He said: ‘Words are not enough to describe my beautiful experience. The hike was really worth it.'
