This is the dramatic moment a quick-thinking neighbor extinguished a raging kitchen fire.

Ahmad Sultan Arifin, 4, rushed to Atika Arifin's house, pleading for help as flames erupted from a stove in Bantaeng Regency, Indonesia.

Footage shows Atika entering the home, immediately spotting the blazing pot engulfed in flames on September 9.

She initially hesitated to grab the hot casserole, cautiously stepping back to maintain a safe distance from the fire.

Moments later, Atika bravely used a rug to grip the handle and carefully tossed the burning pot onto the floor, narrowly missing the visibly terrified toddler standing nearby.

The flames gradually subsided as the spilled oil sizzled and spread across the kitchen tiles.

No one was injured in the incident.

Atika said: 'Ahmad's older brother wanted to fry chicken but went out to buy cigarettes and forgot to turn off the stove. He was gone too long, and the fire quickly grew. Luckily, I arrived in time to put out the flames after the kid alerted me.'
