Boy runs across business's delicately decorated sand table in China
A naughty boy damaged a sand table by running across it at a property sales centre in southern China.
CCTV video filmed in the city of Wuzhou in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on March 5 shows a boy climbing onto a sand table and running on it in a property sales centre.
A man who seemed to be the boy's father followed behind the boy but did not stop him from playing on the sand table.
An employee then came to take the boy down from the sand table.
According to reports, the sand table's vegetation, water pool, light bulbs, and model buildings were damaged to varying degrees.
After an on-site inspection and evaluation by the sand table company, it was determined that repairs would cost nearly 20,000 yuan (£2,400).
Following discussions between the real estate company and the man who is an owner of the company's property, they have decided that no compensation would be sought. Instead, the man and the child were given education on responsible behaviour and the company took responsibility for handling the repairs.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
