On March 15th, 2023, London saw one of the biggest walkouts in recent history as hundreds of thousands of workers across several sectors went on strike. Teachers, university lecturers, civil servants, junior doctors, and London Underground drivers were among those who took to the picket lines to demand better pay, job security, pensions, and working conditions. The strike was timed to coincide with budget day, and several trade unions participated in the action.

Trafalgar Square was one of the major gathering points for the strikers, where teachers and other workers came together to show solidarity and voice their demands. One of the organizers of the strike, Anne Juliff, took to Twitter to express her delight at the turnout, using the hashtags #TeacherStrike, #Solidarity, and #SupportTheStrikes.
