A helpful boy scout bent forwards on a rope bridge to let his friends pass.

The youngster hopped on the obstacle above a pond course first, followed by three others behind him at an adventure park in Chiang Rai province, Thailand, on February 23.

But as they were halfway through the challenge, his companions appeared to have difficulty finishing it. He held both ropes and tightened them with his group before the boys quickly crawled across.

Footage shows the kind boy scout doing the stunt so they could all finish the obstacle as a team.

Onlooker Eye Chompoo said: ‘He sacrificed himself for their group. It was an individual task to finish it but he wanted them to win together.

‘This is what being a scout is all about. He already won with that mindset and finishing the course was just a bonus.'
