Locals enjoyed deep-fried spiral 'tornado potato' at a street food market.

Sirinda Phiewkliang, 22, tried the crunchy treat at the Tornado Potato shop at the Jodd Fairs Night Market in Bangkok, Thailand.

Footage shows a vendor deep-frying a whole cut potato, spiralled onto a stick, on December 8.

She then removed the excess oil with a paper towel, placed it in a brown paper bag, and added seasoning.

Sirinda said in the video as she takes a bite: 'It smells so good, though. I chose a hot and spicy dressing. You can choose a lot of flavours here.

'It is really good. It is crispy and salty, and a little bit of hot and spicy. It is a really good and perfect combination of chips. You've got to try it.'
