A stunning eagle named Arbushka, residing in the city of Ulyanovsk, Russia, laid her first egg at sunset on April 11, 2023 according to a video clip captured by @Mikhail. Despite the egg being almost invisible due to the deep tray, the characteristic movements of the eagle made it clear that she had laid an egg. Over the next few days, Arbushka spent most of her time on the nest and even spent her first night in it.

However, a few days later, on April 15 and 16, Arbushka was absent from the nest for an extended period, leading to the destruction of the eagle clutch by magpies and hooded crows. While the exact reason for her behavior is unknown, it's possible that hunger drove her to leave the nest.

Despite this setback, Arbushka's breeding efforts did not come to a complete halt. On April 17, she laid another egg, which was supposed to be the third, and it's currently the only egg in the clutch. This gives hope for the continuation of breeding in this nest.

On April 18, a pair of eagles was observed on the nest. Arbushka was incubating the clutch, and the Belogor eagle was sitting nearby on a perch. This suggests that Arbushka has found a mate and is continuing her breeding efforts with the Belogor eagle.
