In the early hours of April 28, 2023, a devastating attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine resulted in a residential high-rise building in Uman, Cherkasy region being hit by a missile. The attack resulted in the destruction of an entire entrance of the building and the deaths of 15 innocent people. A further nine people were injured, and the removal of the rubble is expected to take at least a day.

The Ukrainian government has urged the international community to take immediate action to stop the violence and protect the innocent people of Ukraine.
