In a surprising turn of events, fishermen off the coast of the village of Slavyanka, Primorye region, Russia, made an unconventional catch during their routine fishing expedition on May 16th, 2023. Instead of reeling in their usual haul of salmon, they found themselves pulling up bottles of contraband Japanese whiskey from the depths of the sea. It appeared that bootleggers had dumped these illicit bottles into the water, inadvertently turning a fishing trip into an unexpected treasure hunt.

The fishermen were taken aback by their unusual discovery. As they maneuvered their boat through the bay, they noticed Japanese alcohol bottles floating all around them. Seizing the opportunity, they swiftly retrieved the bottles using a net, one after the other. What was intended to be a day of fishing turned into a rather lucrative venture as they managed to salvage a total of seven bottles of the contraband whiskey.
