Raja Ampat is an archipelago district in southwest Papua province that has been famous for its marine natural beauty to foreign countries.

One of the best tourist spots in the region is Waitunu Island. The island, which is located west of Selpele village, Waigeo district west of the mainland of Raja Ampat Regency, has the potential for amazing marine natural tourism.

To reach Waitunu island, tourists must travel about 3 hours from Waisai, the capital of Raja Ampat Regency.

According to the owner of the island, Korinus Ayelo, the existing homestay was built by him independently with his family.
However, according to Korinus, his efforts to develop homestays on the island continued even though he did not get help from the local government.

"For this homestay, I myself have self-help with my family to develop it. Until now there is no help from the local government,"said Korinus Ayelo.

For tourists who have a hobby of fishing can channel it around the waters of Waitunu island.

After fishing, tourists will return to Waitunu Island while enjoying the beautiful natural panorama of the sunset on Kawei Island, which is not far from Waitunu Island.

The panorama of the natural beauty of Raja Ampat's sea which is famous to foreign countries in 2022 has been named a must-visit location or destination to relax, seek peace and tranquility.
