Leopard makes dramatic leap to catch steenbok
An incredible video has emerged of a leopard performing a spectacular leap to pin down its prey at a national park in South Africa.
The footage, captured by a tourist at the Kruger National Park, shows the amazing display of acrobatics as the leopard jumps out from behind a bush and seizes a baby steenbok.
"It was just north of Tshokwane in Kruger National Park when we spotted a young female leopard that was constantly on the move so we stayed with her for over an hour.
At first she attempted to hunt an Impala, but the Impala saw her and she was forced to abort her plan. Eventually she climbed on a rock where she started to relax until she suddenly saw a Steenbok on the opposite side of the riverbank. The video shows what happened next...
