SOUNDBITE (Chinese): LI MINGHUI, Assistant to the president of Lihpao Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
"We entered the Chinese mainland market in 2016, as we found it actually a 'blue ocean' with few companies investing in our industry. And we had been operating in Taiwan for over 10 years, and we wanted to bring our technologies and good services to the mainland.
At the begining, we knew little about everything and the local government helped us overcome many challenges and uncertainties. With their support, we could settle down faster and grow our business more quickly.
We remain optimistic about the economic development of the mainland. We plan to increase our investment in the next two to three years, possibly by about 100 million yuan (about 13.9 million U.S. dollars). We hope to integrate into the local market as soon as possible, and cooperate with some local enterprises to make the market stronger and bigger together."
