CCTV captured the moment a young girl was hit by a car being driven by a motorist under the influence in Nerekhta, western Russia.

Footage from June 29 shows the car failing to slow down whilst going around a corner before slamming into a bush where a girl was standing.

Pedestrians are seen running to the scene to help the injured girl.

According to reports, the bush took the brunt of the force which possibly saved the girl's life. She is in hospital making a recovery and the drive will be put on trial.

A horrific incident occurred in Nerekhta, Kostroma region, Russia, as reported by the press service of the UGIBDD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On June 29th, 2023, a foreign car driver, under the influence of alcohol, recklessly crashed into a young girl before colliding into a residential building.

Shocking video footage from CCTV cameras circulated on social media, capturing the car speeding towards the helpless victim. The impact was mitigated slightly by bushes, possibly saving the girl's life.

Urgently hospitalized, she now fights for recovery, while the driver will be held accountable for his actions according to the law.
