Japan's Kinki region bore the brunt of Typhoon Lan, locally named Typhoon No. 7, and woke up to burst riverbanks and partially collapsed bridges on Wednesday morning, August 16.

Torrential rains overwhelmed waterways in Tottori and flooded roads isolating villages. At least 49 people were reported injured in 8 prefectures.
