Today, August 20th, over 13 million Ecuadorians will have the opportunity to go to the polls and exercise their right to vote in the early elections.
In May of this year, President Guillermo Lasso ordered the dissolution of the National Assembly and called for elections to choose a presidential ticket as well as 137 legislators.
The National Electoral Council (CNE) will also hold a national referendum on oil extraction in the ITT block and in Quito regarding the Andean Choco region.
