A lying husband was arrested when cops caught him in bed with his mistress- after his suspicious wife planted a GPS tracker on him.

The philandering husband, identified by officers by the pseudonym 'Cardo', 27, had reportedly told his wife 'Ellen', 27, that he had a scheduled team building day in Cebu City in the Philippines, on August 29.

He was also said to have posted a message on his social media about the fictitious gathering as a ruse to fool his long-suffering wife.

But sensing something amiss, Ellen attached a hidden tracking device to his motorcycle and monitored his location when he claimed to be 'leaving for work'.

Ellen was devastated when his vehicle stopped at a motel. She called the Investigation and Detective Management Branch of the Cebu City Police Office to arrest her want-away husband and his lover.

Dramatic footage shows the tense confrontation inside the motel room, with the furious wife heard saying to the 20-year-old mistress 'Mara': 'Does it feel good, girl? Does it feel good to steal someone else's husband?'

The cheating pair were arrested and detained at the police station. Both are now being investigated on allegations of concubinage and face up to four years in prison in the hardline Catholic country, where adultery is illegal.

Speaking to local media, Ellen said she began questioning Cardo's loyalty when she lost access to their joint Facebook account.

She added that he had begun to come home late in recent weeks, and would sometimes not return at all 'to visit his relatives in another city'.

Ellen said: 'I sensed something was wrong. I was determined to find out the truth.'

With her doubts growing, Ellen decided to buy a tracking device online and slipped it under her husband's motorcycle seat before she found proof of his infidelity.

Meanwhile, Cardo and Mara both declined to give a statement to officers.

Police Staff Sergeant Richell Bibas, chief of the Abellana Police Station Women and Children Protection Desk, said the pair will be charged with concubinage, which carries a punishment of between six months to four years in prison.

In the Philippines, marital infidelity is considered a form of psychological violence which is punishable under the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004

In July this year, British husband Kevin Robert Stitt, 36, was arrested when he was caught having sex with his mistress in the family home in the Philippines.

Cops grilled Kevin on allegations of marital infidelity which is punished by up to six years in prison while his lover Rowena Torres, 30, was detained for concubinage, which carries a four-year term.
