A furious Thai wife hog-tied her husband and threatened to 'burn his penis with a hot iron' after catching him gambling on his phone.

The outraged spouse, named Fah, bound her the legs and feet of her husband Supachai and filmed him apologising at their home in Samut Prakan, Thailand, on January 29.

The amusing video shows the henpecked man acknowledging his misdeeds and promising not to do them again.

He was heard saying: 'I will never join online gambling. If I fail to do so, you can place a hot iron on my penis.'

Fah, 25, was alerted to the behaviour of her partner, 28, when she saw a notification on his phone while he was playing a video game.

At first, she had thought it was a woman, but she saw instead that it was a message asking him to top up money for gambling.

Her partner denied everything at first, but transaction records refuted his claims - with several hundred baht being siphoned into his gambling account.

As punishment, Fah tied him up and reduced his daily allowance from their bank account from 200 Baht to 150 Baht (around 4.5 USD).

The remorseful man said: 'I was scared that she would divorce me. I apologised to her and accepted the condition that my daily pocket money would be decreased to 150 baht per day.'

Not satisfied, Fah also sent the video to friends, the local newspaper and even the local police to compel her husband to keep his promise.

She said: 'I just want my husband to be good. The money should be for both of us, for our future. He never wins when he's gambling on sports so it's a waste of money.'
