An 80-year-old woman fell into a well on Sunday night in Chizhou City of east China's Anhui Province.

The well is more than ten meters deep with a diameter of more than half a meter. Rescuers arrived and found the old woman was conscious, but with only her upper body above the water, her situation was very dangerous.

A well-equipped rescuer was sent into the well and found the old woman's leg was hurt. The rescuer encouraged her and equipped her with a rescue rope, then other rescuers and residents together pulled her out off the well.

Finally, the old woman was successfully saved and sent to hospital after half an hour's rescue. Now her health is stable. It is learned that the old woman fell into the well because she stepped on and broke a wooden board on the well.

Rescuers have found more than 30 similar wells nearby. The warning signs around can't be seen at night, which is very dangerous. Rescuers have cordoned off the scene with warning line and warned residents against such similar accidents.
安徽池州：八旬老太坠入30米深井 多方紧急营救
13日晚上6点钟左右，池州市消防支队接到报警，在贵池区的一个院子里，一位年过八旬的老太太不慎坠落10米多深的井中，已经被困将近一个小时了。
辖区消防人员到达现场后发现，在一口直径六十多公分的深井中，一位年过八旬的老太太上半身浮在水面，生命垂危。而老人的家人则在井口旁将木梯用绳索捆绑后，放入井中给老人撑住，避免下沉导致窒息。
此时距老人坠井已长达一个多小时，如不及时将老人救出，后果不堪设想。
几分钟后，消防队员平稳下到井下，发现老人腿脚受伤，动弹不得。
此时，老人已经开始体力不支，救援人员小心翼翼给老人系上腰带，紧紧托住老人的腰部，在一切准备就绪后，井上的救援人员和附近群众一齐抓住绳索，合力将老人缓缓向上拉。
经过半个多小时的紧张救援，老人被安全救出，随后紧急送往医院治疗，幸运的是，老人并无大碍。
据老人的家人介绍，这口井是当地开发商用来盖房子用的，有将近三十米深，井口上原先盖有一块木板，但木板上有个大洞，老人就是踩破这块木板后掉入井中的。消防官兵发现周围像这样的基井多达30多处，虽然周围早已竖起警示牌，但是夜晚根本看不见，周围人来人往，十分危险，消防官兵利用警戒带将现场围起来，防止再次发生坠井事故。
