STORYLINE:

With more than 10,000 people watching, this year's Red Bull Soapbox Race returned to Jordan's Amman on Friday.

Dressed in unique costumes, participants from 39 teams drove their hand-made vehicles in a race of speed, daring, and creativity.

The competitors steered their non-engine vehicles following the sloped track while overcoming the curves and artificial barriers as quickly as possible.

The performance of the participating teams was evaluated based on three criteria: speed in crossing the track, presentation on the platform, and creativity in design.

"It certainly gives a strong impulse to young people to participate and show their talents and ideas and apply them on the ground through a competition like this."

Red Bull Soapbox Race is an international event for hand-made vehicle lovers to show off their creativity.
