A man has been detained after he assaulted a schoolboy in the village Bely Yar, in Russia's Tomsk region.

Footage captured on September 4 shows a student reaching into his bag just outside the school's entrance when a man smacked the child on the back of his head.

The aggressor was detained by local authorities.
