STORYLINE:

On Thursday morning, the Israeli occupation forces demolished the building of the “Al-Betawi Contracting and Building Company,” owned by the citizen Thaer Dweikat, in the town of Beita, east of the city of Nablus, in the West Bank.

The owner of the facility, Mahdi Dweikat, said that he was surprised at dawn today by the presence of the Israeli occupation forces in front of his company’s building. He added that the area administration of the Israeli occupation authorities informed him of the existence of a military decision prohibiting the presence of any facilities in this area, “Area B,” despite his possession of all licenses issued by the administration. The occupation forces demolished the building directly and did not allow the owners of the facility to remove the goods inside the company. The district administration had not been notified of the evacuation of the site previously.

He added that losses are estimated at five million shekels ($2.5 million).

He also added that these measures are part of the collective punishment that the town of Beita is being subjected to, as the Israeli occupation forces imposed a siege on the town of Beita, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, and raided a number of homes in the town, at a time when the occupation forces are tightening their measures to search for an outlet.
