The United Auto Worker (UAW), a tour workers union on strike, intensified its pickets as it had promised, of not reaching serious advances in their negotiations with engine companies. They are now 38 production and distribution plants. For now the pickets do not affect Ford but yes to Stellantis and GM.

According to Shawn Fain, leader of the union, "real progress" has been reached in the negotiations with Ford. "We still have serious problems to solve, but we want to recognize that Ford is demonstrating that the possibility of reaching an agreement is taken seriously. In GM and Stellantis it is another story."

The increase in plants that bind to the strike was announced shortly after President Joe Biden announced that he intends to visit the strikes on strike. According to the expected, Biden will go to Michigan a day before Donald Trump, who already announced his intention to see the automobile trade unionists instead of attending the second Republican debate.
