Teacher survives being hit by motorbike as she saves students
Terrifying CCTV footage has emerged from China of a heroic teacher being mown down by a motorcyclist as she pushes students to safety on a pedestrian crossing.
The video was captured outside a junior high school in Hubei Province earlier this month and shows the moment 50-year-old teacher Xu Meirong realises a biker is about to hit her group - with some students running but two freezing. She then saves the two but is hit by the bike herself.
According to local reports she was injured seriously by the crash but has survived and is in a stable condition in hospital. The bikers is alleged to have been riding under the influence of alcohol.
