This footage was filmed and produced 2 November 2023.

From late October to early November, Mexico is filled with ofrendas, catrinas, images that allude to death and altars. This, because on November 1 and 2 is celebrated the Day of the Dead, a tradition that has its origins more than 500 years ago, with the mixture between the native cultures of the country with the Spanish, who brought the Catholic religion.

That is why Mexicans usually place an ofrenda in which they put food, chocolate and sugar skulls, papel picado, pan de muerto, and any type of food or drink that their loved ones who are no longer alive liked. Some people even put alcoholic beverages that used to be enjoyed by their family and friends who are no longer alive.

The Day of the Dead is a tradition that distinguishes Mexico worldwide, as it is filled with colors, flavors and smells that characterize the dates.
