The Bureij refugee camp located in central Gaza was reduced to rubble by Israeli airstrikes.

Footage from November 3 shows dozens of buildings destroyed as locals pick through the rubble in search of bodies and survivors.

Gaza authorities say at least 15 people were killed in strikes.

An Israeli strike hit a residential building in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza on Thursday, killing at least 15 people, the Gaza Civil Defense spokesman said.

Speaking to the Arabic-language Al Jazeera television station, Mahmoud Bassal said it has been difficult for civil defense vehicles and rescue workers to reach to remove the rubble.

Residents said dozens of people were trapped under the rubble. The impact created a large crater and severely damaged buildings around it. One survivor who spoke to the television network compared it to an earthquake.
