An unauthorized and well-coordinated Free Palestine protest march went through Charlotte's most prestigious luxury shopping destination, Southpark Mall. There were about 35 protestors seen in the video walking three abreast chanting “Free, free Palestine” in a militant cadence so loud it echoed throughout the entire mall. This startled some shoppers and caused merchants like Tiffany’s initiate their lockdown process posting security guards at the front of the store and locking the doors to prevent entry.
