A stray cat caused panic when it ran through a family's home in Thailand.

Resident Bodin Laokakam was watching TV in the living room when the stray black moggie broke into the house, spooking the family's pet cats in Chonburi province on October 14.

CCTV footage shows the feline invader sprinting through the room then slamming into a glass door while trying to escape. One frightened pet cat ran up the stairs to escape, while its more aggressive friend was seen trying to square up to the snarling stray.

Bodin opened the glass door, allowing the intruder to flee.

He said: 'I'm familiar with that stray cat because it comes by often. I've named it Sugar. It's the first time it tried to enter the house because I left the door open.'
