Tuscany remains in the grip of a major rescue operation in the wake of recent severe weather conditions that have impacted the entire region. The provinces of Florence, Pisa, Pistoia, Livorno, and Prato have been particularly hard-hit, resulting in a substantial response from the firefighting teams with a total of 4,750 interventions completed.

Rescue teams are currently engaged in multiple tasks, including the search for missing individuals, securing areas affected by landslides and mudslides, draining flooded locations, and providing essential aid to the affected population. The National Corps' rescue system has mobilized a force of 548 units operating with 125 vehicles, working diligently to mitigate the effects of the natural disaster.
