The footage shows three Russian soldiers on a quad bike deploying the weapon in a field before the images cut to it firing.

The images then appear to show the Russian ordnance hitting the Ukrainian armour.

The footage was obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Wednesday, November 8, along with a statement claiming: 'A mobile group of Russian paratroopers, equipped with a Kornet anti-tank missile system, destroyed a Western-made armoured vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.'

The Russian MoD added: 'With the help of aerial reconnaissance, a Western-made armoured vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discovered near a forest plantation in the Artemovsk [Bakhmut] area.

'Having received the task of destroying it, the crews of mobile groups of the Airborne Forces operating on all-terrain vehicles promptly moved to the specified area.

'Having launched a guided missile from the Kornet ATGM from a remote point, anti-tank paratroopers destroyed a Ukrainian armoured car from a distance of about five kilometres.

'After hitting the enemy transport, in order to avoid return fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces units, the crew immediately turned down the installation and changed the firing position.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
