In a significant development, IDF soldiers, alongside ISA special forces, have unveiled an intricate network of terror tunnels beneath the Shifa Hospital. The exposed tunnel system, stretching several meters, includes passages under the Qatari Building within the hospital complex.

Special units, such as Shaldag, Oketz, and Yahalom, under the command of the 7th Brigade, are diligently working to reveal the extent of this underground complex. Notably, one tunnel extends from beneath the hospital, reaching the Qatari Building. Behind a breached blast door, soldiers discovered a concealed, air-conditioned room and a bathroom. Additionally, two more tunnel shafts were identified near the hospital, emphasizing Hamas' alarming strategy of operating beneath healthcare facilities.

This discovery unequivocally showcases Hamas' deliberate use of hospitals for military purposes, further intensifying concerns about the group's disregard for civilian spaces. The IDF's ongoing efforts aim to neutralize these threats and safeguard the security of the region.
