Voting start for Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023 in India

Polling began at 7am on Saturday morning for the 199 assembly seats in Rajasthan.

Indian voters show their fingers marked with indelible ink after casting their votes for the Rajasthan Assembly elections in Beawar district of Rajasthan state in India.

A total of 51,507 polling booths in the state.

More than 1.70 lakh security personnel have been deployed including companies of the central para-military force (CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, RPF etc.) and the armed forces of 18 other states. 70 thousand policemen of Rajasthan Police, 18 thousand Rajasthan Home Guard, 2 thousand Rajasthan Border Home Guard, 15 thousand Home Guards of other states (Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh) and 120 companies of RAC have been deployed for the smooth completion of the election process.

Rajasthan has a total of 200 assembly seats but polling will be held on 199 seats as election in Karanpur seat of Sriganganagar district was postponed following the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar. There are 5,25,38,105 voters in the 199 assembly constituencies.

The counting of votes will take place on December 3.
