STORYLINE:

A precarious calm returned to the Lebanon's southern border area on Friday after a humanitarian truce between Hamas and Israel took effect.

However, in the border village of El-Jibbein, many Lebanese had left their hometown due to the Israeli raids and bombing, and returned only to check on their properties.

"They said there is a truce for 4 days, so we came back to check our tobacco crop. We are farmers and we returned during this truce. Hopefully, we can save the crop and sell it. Once the truce is over, we will leave the village and will not return until the situation is solved. We will stay here for two days until we sell the crop, then we will leave."
