'No Thanks': Turkish woman demonstrates app being used to boycott Israel-linked products

A young Turkish woman demonstrated an app that claims to be able to identify Israel-linked products so consumers can boycott them.

The 'No Thanks' app claims to be able to tell users whether the product has ties to Israel or somehow supports the country, simply by scanning the barcode.

It is not clear how accurate it is or what is meant by support for Israel in cases where the product is not clearly from Israel or an Israeli company.

People say they are using the app to put commercial pressure on Israel over the war in Gaza and to ensure none of their money is contributing to the Israeli economy they say is helping to fund it.

It is not clear how widely used the app is though supporters on social media claim its popularity is booming.
