STORYLINE:
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed to the U.S. capital of Washington D.C. on Tuesday to meet with some members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate to discuss a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.
He will also address the Israeli war and its repercussions during a meeting at the U.S. Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington D.C.
Shoukry is set to join the Arab-Muslim ministerial delegation which will visit Washington D.C. on Thursday.
The delegation is expected to call for international action to urge a ceasefire and tackle the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
