Bear being forced to ride hoverboard attacks performer during circus act in China
A black bear that was being forced to ride a hoverboard attacked a trainer during a circus performance at a zoo in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
Footage captured on December 10 shows the black bear with a chain around its neck standing up on a hoverboard.
The animal suddenly lashes out and begins attacking the male trainer's leg.
After a few seconds, the bear finally let go after some food was scattered on the floor nearby.
Tourists were left terrified by the incident.
The zoo's staff claimed the bear acted out due to a desire for popcorn that was scattered on the ground by visitors.
The trainer only sustained teeth marks on his legs.
The zoo authorities are contemplating whether to discontinue such shows in the future.
