In a daring rescue operation on December 24th, Palm Beach County Fire demonstrated extraordinary skill and valor when an 18-wheeler found itself perilously dangling from an overpass on the Turnpike, with the trapped driver inside. The commendable efforts of PBCFR Firefighters, specifically Engine23 and Rescue23, came to the fore as they secured the massive vehicle using a grip hoist, grade 100 chain, and 6-inch vehicle strap cribbing, preventing any further forward movement.

Executing a meticulously coordinated rescue, Truck29's bucket was raised to reach the stranded driver, who was then safely secured to a harness and assisted into the bucket. The dramatic descent to the ground followed, facilitating the prompt transportation of the driver to a local hospital. Approximately 36 seconds into the video capturing the operation, the relieved driver expressed gratitude for his safe rescue.
