This is the shocking moment a jilted husband jumped onto the windscreen of his wife's car while she was on her way to file divorce papers with her new boyfriend.

Sittipunt Samphao, 40, clambered onto the car bonnet of Sunan, 39, while she was travelling with her new boyfriend Saichon in Ayutthaya province, Thailand, on January 17.

Desperate Sittipunt clung onto the windscreen as Sunan then proceeded to drive along a highway, scared he might attack her once she stopped the car.

Traffic police monitoring the road saw Sittipunt on top of the moving vehicle and intercepted it to make an arrest.

Sittipunt, Sunan, and Saichon were all taken to the Phra-In-Racha police station for interrogation.

Sunan told police she was on her way to file divorce papers at the Bang Pa-in District Office after breaking up with Sittipunt, her husband of 20 years, two months ago.

Fed up with the Sittipunt's piling debts and alleged verbal abuse, Sunan sought to end their marriage. However, he insisted they discuss their marital problems and hopped onto the front of her car when she refused to listen to him.

She said: 'On the day of the incident, Sittipunt called me saying he would provide directions to the district office. But when we met, he tried to block the car by jumping on the hood. I was afraid he would attack me, so I just kept on driving.'

Meanwhile, Sittipunt said he had three children with Sunan, whom he claimed had been a 'perennial cheat' and had numerous affairs.

He said: 'Sunan asked to break up after she met a new man on TikTok. She said she wanted me to sign the divorce papers and sell our pickup truck to pay for my debts.

'I never agreed to separate with her. I wanted to make our relationship work. I've already forgiven her for the times she cheated on me.'

Officers said they were further investigating the three locals according to legal procedures.
