Around 0740hrs Mount Carmel township fire departments were dispatched to Car Quest / Greco’s auto service for a reported tri-axle accident with entrapment.
Command arrived and found a coal truck flipped over after coming down the mountain with the driver entrapped.
The driver , Clint Honicker, age 72 of Coal Township was extricated in roughly 30 minutes and taken to an awaiting life flight helicopter to be flown to Geisinger in Danville.
Honicker reportedly lost his breaks coming down the Wilburton mountain right before crashing into the business. The road was reopened just before 1pm.
The driver sustained multiple injuries in this accident.
