Türkiye and Iran signed 10 cooperation agreements during Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Türkiye on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the two leaders had a one-on-one meeting and co-chaired the eighth meeting of the Türkiye-Iran High Level Cooperation Council.

"I condemn the heinous terrorist attack that took place in Kerman on Jan. 3. I would like to express that Türkiye stands by Iran in the fight against terrorism."
Erdogan also emphasized the importance of Iran's support for Türkiye's fight against terrorism, especially the Kurdish militants.
When it came to the Israel-Hamas conflict, Erdogan said he and Raisi discussed the need for cessation of Israel's "inhumane" attacks on Gaza.

"We discussed the need for cessation of Israel's 'inhumane' attacks on Gaza and the urgency for just and lasting peace in our meetings. We agreed on the importance of avoiding actions that would further jeopardize the region's security and stability."
The Palestinian issue is of great concern to both Türkiye and Iran, he added.
Raisi, for his part, said the two countries have been in good relations, and Tehran wishes to elevate the bilateral ties to even higher levels in the future.
Meanwhile, Raisi told reporters that the two countries have set a target to raise bilateral trade to 30 billion U.S. dollars per year, and the two sides also decided to expand cooperation in the field of energy.
"Terrorism takes place with Western support. We are determined to fight against terrorism. There is no hesitation on this matter. Türkiye's security is our security," Raisi said.
