STORYLINE:

Thirty-seven international students from Ningxia Medical University in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region have gathered in an activity to experience the traditions of the Spring Festival.

They learned to make Chinese knots and experienced ice-and-snow fun at the foot of Helan Mountain.

"So today, we come here to see a lot of Chinese history, and we will make this stuff to (celebrate) Chinese New Year. You have to do a lot of work to finish it. So it's a little bit hard for us. "

"The ski activity is so fun. I've experienced snow before, but I haven't done this activity. So it's really fun."

"You can feel it, you can see in my eyes, I enjoy it. I took a bunch of pictures of me, my friends, everybody. Definitely this I'm going to send to my mom, my father, my siblings, like my whole bunch of family. Everybody is gonna see it because they need to see it, they need to feel the way I feel. In my city, it's hot throughout the year. I'm happy to experience this kind of weather in China."
