Substantial ice fractures were seen on Wisconsin Lake Harrison in Wisconsin.

Aerial footage shows a significant crack running in an east-west direction, approximately 2,200 feet away from the shore, and a large crack with an open area to the north of the landing spot on January 30.

The Harrison Fire Department said the footage serves as a warning to the public about the dangers of venturing onto the icy surface.

The fire department said that weather conditions over the past two weeks have seen temperatures above freezing, resulting in deteriorating ice conditions.

They advised residents to avoid venturing onto the ice. Additionally, they reminded everyone that no ice can be deemed entirely safe.
