The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Mojave division issued a warning to the public that a road washed was away by floods in Eastern Kern County.

CHP Mojave shared the video showing the the damage to Redrock Randsburg Road between SR-14 and US-395 on February 6.

Drivers passing through the area were advised to plan their routes accordingly and seek alternative paths until the necessary repairs could be completed.

California was being battered by a strong atmospheric river that has dumped torrential rains and caused landslides and catastrophic flooding in the state.

Atmospheric rivers are long, narrow bands in the atmosphere that transport moisture out of the tropics toward the Earth's poles.
